Who Qualifies?

Health Insurance Plans

New financial assistance means that 4 out of 5 people will be able to find a plan for $10 or less per month. You are eligible to enroll in an ACA insurance plan as long as you are living in the U.S. lawfully and are not incarcerated or covered by Medicare. You may find out you qualify for Medicaid during the Obamacare application process. Who qualifies for $0 plans.

Subsidy amounts are decided by income, family size, and the way you declare taxes. Families and individuals making an income that falls between 100%. --- 150% of the poverty line qualify for SCR reductions and $0 dollar silver plans. They are also free to enroll or move plans at any point during the year, they are not subject to open enrollment or need another special enrollment period. 

What are special enrollment periods?

A time outside the yearly Open Enrollment Period when you can sign up for health insurance. You qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you’ve had certain life events, including losing health coverage, moving, getting married, having a baby, or adopting a child, or if your household income is below a certain amount.

Depending on your Special Enrollment Period type, you may have 60 days before or 60 days following the event to enroll in a plan.

Poverty Level Line, according to Family Size

Even though almost anyone can get insurance through the Marketplace, people making between %100 - %500 qualify for premium-reducing subsidies. We have added the Poverty Line Guidelines below.
